Student Rights & Obligations

NVC RTO provides a healthy and open adult learning environment.  To maintain this, candidates are required to exercise rules of common sense and common courtesy.

Candidates will be expected to:

  • Treat everyone and their property with respect and consideration
  • Respect the opinion of other candidates
  • Respect the rules and guidelines set by NVC RTO
  • Attend all classes punctually (contact RTO Manager if unable to attend)
  • Keep noise to a minimum – others may be working
  • Respect our cultural differences
  • Submit all assignment work on time
  • Maintain the good name of NVC at all times


NVC will

  • Provide you with access to equipment to allow you to gain the relevant industry skills
  • Facilitate training
  • Provide coaching for you in the relevant units as per your training plan
  • Provide you with time to undertake training in the workplace
  • Allow you to have time with your RTO Trainer/Assessor


 NVC RTO will

  • Provide training resources
  • Facilitate training
  • Review training plan as necessary
  • Conduct assessments
  • Provide feedback to trainee and employer/supervisor about your progress
  • Issue the qualification as appropriate
  • Monitor trainees progress


 The Candidate will

  • Complete on and off the job training
  • Be prepared for assessment and monitoring visits
  • Discuss their progress honestly with their Trainer/Assessor and their Supervisor/Employer


State Training Authority (STA) will

  • Manage training contracts and provide advice around the content
  • Develop the training plan
  • Assess eligibility for traineeships
  • Complete the training contract with employer and trainee
  • Process the paperwork
  • Monitor trainees progress
